Create an educational game for children under 4 years old.
Despite the fact that the game was created for children under 4 years old, it was necessary to take into account the adult audience of parents. Because parents decide what their child will play.
Parents give their children their smartphone when they need to free up time for themselves. Therefore, the game should be simple enough to let a child play without asking a parent for help.
After analyzing the audience, it became clear that most young children don't know how to read. So the game should be as simple as possible to manage, without big amount of texts and with visual cues.
I decided that the game will not have text, extra screens, and menus. There is a button to start the game on the main screen that looks like a play button from video player (already well known to kids). Early prototypes of the game was tested on kids reaction.
After each level passed soft woman voice praises a kid. I used the voice because even very young children can understand that. The transition between the levels is done with one tap. The transition to the next level occurs through the animated button that attracts attention.
